Gwan Jupon
As the name suggests this petticoat is quite wide.  The Jupon is made of white cotton richly trimmed with lace, tucked in various designs with red ribbons passing through insertion lace.
The Jupon must be ironed flat.  Years ago an instrument called a 'fer a tuyauter' was used to produce small waves on the lace border.

Jipe
A short full madras skirt worn over the long petticoat.  It is usually raised up to show the beauty of the petticoat.
